I got quoted $2k on a steering control arm replacement. I don’t do much auto work myself. With my limited auto repair experience it took me barely 2 hours by myself. $1k quote for a simple brake and rotor replacement. I’m sure their repair quality is fine but their prices are completely unreasonable. I will not be back

Contracted with this yahoo to paint my rebuilt 1970 Chevelle. Was suppose to make it look like it came off the showroom floor. I dropped my car off at the end of June 2010. Asked him if he needed monies up front, he said no. Two weeks later he wanted monies so that he could pay his state taxes. (That should have been a red flag to me - but the guy claimed he was a Christian - Hog Wash!) Our agreement was for the car to be painted and done so I could finish the engine and interior installation in time for Mecum's Auction in Septemer of 2010. Needless to say, I had to cancel the show as he didn't have my car painted. Months, I tell you months went by with nothing done! - July, August, September, October - then-------- He promised the car would be done by Thanksgiving Day - well - here we go again! Not done again - except his time - he took my rebuilt car - painted it like it belonged in a demolition derby - you to it. Racing strips across the top, 70 painted on the doors, and the words "Painted by Myers Auto Body" on the back quarter panels. The really sad part - he was proud of his work! Can you imagine that - Proud! He even gave me pictures - he was so proud! Well - we were at it again. Everytime I made comments about how nothing was getting done. He'd laugh. He went as far as constantly sending his employees home because he didn't have funds to pay them. Strange I paid him! Of course Christmas and New's Years came and went. Any progress on my car - not no but heck no! On January 17th I picked my car up and took it elsewhere. $5000 and 6 months later I had nothing to show for it, except a car painted for the demolition Derby. It should be ZERO but one star for the poor worker who deals with this. In all my years in the service industry I always keep a keen eye out on how other companies operate when I visit their establishment. To say I was appalled at the behavior that was shown while me being "a potential" customer at Wilkersons last month would be an understatement. I was greeted by a nice lady who was assisting someone on the phone at the same time and was quite busy. I gladly waited as she wrapped up with the customer on the phone all the while still advising me, she would help me asap. All the sudden what I assume is the manager or owner stormed in and gave the lady the evilest look and as he went by started to berate her about me waiting. I was speechless and as I was getting ready to say something he stormed out to the shop area just as fast with lewd profanities for all to hear. I politely nodded to the lady while she was finishing her call and left and never looked back. Autowise on Main is the place to go, a complete friendly staff not just one person
